WARNING: Pedals must be installed correctly on the corresponding crank arm to ensure safety. The user-right pedal is regular-threaded and the user-left pedal is reverse-threaded.
Apply grease to the pedal spindle threads on both pedals.
Thread each pedal by hand as far as possible to avoid cross-threading. The left pedal threads counter-clockwise (reverse-threaded) and the right pedal threads clockwise (regular-threaded) into the crank arm.
Finish by tightening the pedals very firmly (42 N⋅m) using a 15 mm pedal or open-end wrench.
