The zero reset is the sensor reading when the power meter has no pedaling load (torque) applied. Any time the power meter is installed, or removed from a bike and reinstalled, a zero reset should be performed. This process may be referred to as zero reset, calibration, or zero offset depending on the head unit manufacturer.
To manually reset the zero offset value, see the Manual Zero instructions.
The power meter will automatically update the zero offset value after a period of inactivity. No action is required to enable this function, which will automatically update the zero offset value between uses and ensure the power meter is functioning at a high level of accuracy.
