Step 6: Install pedals
Equipment required
- #8 (Pedals)
- 17 mm pedal or open-end wrench
WARNING: Pedals must be installed correctly on the corresponding crankarm to ensure safety. The user-right pedal is regular-threaded and the user-left pedal is reverse-threaded.
- Thread each pedal (#8) by hand as far as possible to avoid cross-threading.
- Finish by tightening the pedals very firmly (42 N⋅m) using a 15 mm pedal or open-end wrench.
